Account, Trial & Billing
Trial countdown, upgrading, account settings, and backup & restore.
Free trial
Every new account gets a 30-day free trial with full read/write access — no card required to sign up.
When 7 days or fewer remain, an amber banner appears at the top of every page:
“Your free trial expires in X day(s). Upgrade to keep full access.” — Upgrade →
What happens when the trial ends
Your account becomes read-only: you can still view all your data, but any write action (marking attendance, editing students, importing CSVs, etc.) is blocked server-side with a message pointing you to upgrade. The swipe screen shows a full lock overlay in this state.
The same read-only state applies if a paid subscription lapses and passes its 5-day grace period.
Upgrading (current process — manual)
Tap Upgrade → on the trial banner, or open it from Settings/Account. The upgrade modal shows:
- Payment instructions (currently GCash)
- A QR code to scan
- The support email to send your payment receipt to
- “We’ll activate your account within 24 hours.”
Payments currently require manual confirmation — after you pay and email your receipt, an admin flips your account to active within 24 hours. (Automatic card/e-wallet payments via Xendit are planned but not live yet.)
